But the past two results have been tough to take.””We have been practicing hard in the nets, and the team is also gelling well. But I feel we haven’t been able to execute ourselves on the ground properly,” Prithvi told the media ahead of Delhi Capitals’ match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday .”Personally, I feel that there will be times when you will go through tough phases in this tournament. But the best way to bounce back from it is to perform in the next match, and that is what we are all looking to do tomorrow (Sunday),” Shaw said.Prithvi was also asked to access the Bengaluru pitch and he had this to say, “I think it’s a good wicket, I have played a lot here in the past. It is going to be a crucial match and I hope we put up good runs on the board if we get the chance to bat first.””We usually don’t talk about the opposition, and we believe that it up to us to make plans according to our strengths and execute those plans. So far, the wicket has looked good on TV and has played well, so we will be looking to put up a strong total if we bat first, or chase down the target as we saw KKR doing it last night,” said Shaw.advertisement’Not focused on the World Cup right now’With the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 also not too far, questions about Prithvi fighting for a place in the Indian team were asked, but the youngster said he is fully focused on the Delhi Capitals at the moment.”I’m not focused on the World Cup right now. I am fully focused on the Delhi Capitals doing well in IPL 2019 and I want to contribute in the team’s success. There is quite some time in the World Cup at the moment, and I like to go match by match. I don’t want to look too far ahead, I just want to do the job for the Delhi Capitals in the next match,” he said.Asked if batting second will be an advantage on the Chinnaswamy pitch, Shaw said that the wicket remains the same throughout the match.”On this wicket, I don’t think it matters too much if you are batting or bowling first. The wicket remains the same throughout the 40 overs. There is only the dew factor that probably comes in the second innings,” Prithvi said.”As for our choice, it obviously depends on the coach and the support staff as to how they want to go about it if we win the toss,” Prithvi said.Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers BangaloreThe last time Delhi played RCB in Bengaluru in IPL 2018, the match ended up in a 6-wicket win for the home side as they chased down Delhi’s total of 174/5 with two overs to spare.Rishabh Pant (85 off 48) and Shreyas Iyer (52 off 31) helped Delhi to a respectable total, but AB de Villiers’ fantastic innings of 90 off only 39 balls saw RCB chase down the total in 18 overs. The two teams have faced each other on 22 occasions in IPL history, with Royal Challengers Bangalore having won 15 matches while Delhi only have six wins, with one match having ended in a no-result.Also Read | CSK vs KXIP, IPL 2019: Umpire talks to MS Dhoni after Ambati Rayudu backs up too farAlso Read | IPL 2019: Aggression makes David Warner a dangerous batsman, says Yusuf PathanAlso Watch | Great to have someone like Chris Gayle in KXIP: KL RahulFor sports news, updates, live scores and cricket fixtures, log on to indiatoday.in/sports.
