Terance Mann does it all as Clippers cruise to Summer League victory

first_imgAfter signing their first NBA contracts Tuesday, the Clippers’ rookies went out and contributed to a resounding 90-72 victory over the Washington Wizards in the Las Vegas Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center.Propelled by 3-point shooting and rebounding, L.A. never trailed after the first quarter. The Clippers outrebounded the Wizards 51-37 and shot 14 for 25 from deep. Washington went 6 for 27 from behind the arc.The Clippers (2-1) were led by stat-stuffing rookie Terance Mann. The Florida State product scored 15 points, shot 7 for 9 from the floor, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished nine assists. Through three games, the 6-foot-7 guard remains tied atop the Summer League leaderboard with Oklahoma City’s Kevin Harvey for most rebounds per game, averaging 11.3. Having just a two-way contract with the Clippers, Amir Coffey had 15 points and six rebounds and first-round draft pick Mfiondu Kabengele added 13 points, seven rebounds and four blocks.The Clippers’ second-year guard Jerome Robinson led the team in scoring, with 17 points and three assists. L.A.’s starters outscored Washington’s 66-36.Nigel Hayes led the Clippers’ bench with six points and 10 boards.Washington’s Admiral Schofield had a team-high 16 points and former Laker Moe Wagner led his side’s bench with 13 points on 3-of-11 shooting.The Clippers are set to face the Sacramento Kings on Thursday.
